Refund policy

1. REFUND POLICY

1.1 Eligibility for Refund

A refund request will be accepted only under the following conditions:

Wrong Item Delivered

Title, author, or edition delivered does not match the order.

Material Misrepresentation

The condition of the second-hand book is significantly worse than the website listing description (e.g., missing pages, heavy damage not mentioned, incorrect condition grade).

Damaged Product on Arrival

Severe physical damage directly related to shipping or packing.

Customer must provide clear photos/videos within 48 hours of delivery.

Incomplete Product

Missing included inserts (if applicable), missing volumes in sets, etc.

Duplicate Payment

Accidental double billing due to system or payment gateway error.

1.2 Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will NOT be issued for the following reasons:

Change of Mind / Buyer's Remorse

Normal Used-Book Wear

Minor yellowing, small creases, mild annotations, typical used-book aging.

Unverified Damage Claims

Claims unsupported by photos/videos.

Item Marked "Final Sale", "Clearance", or "Non-Returnable."

Delayed Delivery

Caused by courier, customs, weather, or logistical issues.

Incorrect Shipping Address Provided by Customer.

Refusal to Accept Delivery Without Valid Reason.

1.3 Return Windows

Customers must initiate refund requests within 7 days of receiving the item.

Requests after the window are automatically declined.

1.4 Return Conditions

To qualify for refund approval:

The book must be returned in the same condition as received.

No additional damage, stains, or markings caused by customer.

All items bundled in a set must be returned together.

Return shipping must follow the instructions provided by Book Loop Book.

1.5 Return Shipping Charges

If the refund is due to store error, Book Loop Book covers the return shipping.

If the refund is due to any customer-related reason, the customer pays the return shipping fee.

1.6 Refund Method & Timeline

Refund will be processed to the original payment method.

Processing time: 7–14 business days after receiving and inspecting the returned product.

Bank/card delays are outside the company's control.

1.7 Partial Refunds

Book Loop Book may issue partial refunds when:

The product is returned with minor additional wear.

The product is missing external packaging.

The product is part of a set but not all items are returned.

Decision is at the company's sole discretion.

1.8 Verification & Fraud Prevention

Refund claims may be denied if:

Evidence is manipulated or unclear.

Customer history shows repeated refund attempts.

There is suspicion of fraudulent intent.

2. CANCELLATION POLICY

2.1 Eligibility for Order Cancellation

Orders can only be cancelled before they are shipped.

Cancellation is allowed ONLY IF:

• The order status is "Processing" or "Pending Payment".

• Dispatch has not occurred.

Once shipped, cancellation is NOT possible.

2.2 Cancellation Process

Customers must email info@bookloopbook.com with:

• Full name

• Order number

• Reason for cancellation

• Phone number for verification

The company will confirm:

✔ Whether the order is still cancellable

✔ The refund amount

✔ Expected processing time

2.3 Non-Cancellable Orders

Cancellation will NOT be accepted if:

• Order is already shipped or handed over to courier.

• Order includes items marked "Non-Cancellable".

• Payment was initiated during a limited-stock or flash sale.

• The order is a bulk or B2B order.

2.4 Refund for Cancelled Orders

If cancellation is approved before shipping:

• Full refund will be issued within 7–14 business days.

• Refund will be processed via the original payment method.

If the order has already shipped:

• Customer must follow the Return/Refund Policy, not cancellation rules.

2.5 Cancellations Due to Payment Failure

If an order is auto-cancelled because of payment gateway error:

• Customer will receive an email confirming cancellation.

• Any deducted amount will be refunded automatically by the payment provider.

2.6 Cancellation by the Company

Book Loop Book may cancel an order in these cases:

• Incorrect pricing due to system error.

• Product out of stock.

• Fraudulent or suspicious ordering patterns.

• Invalid or unverifiable shipping address.

• Customer violates website Terms & Conditions.

Customer will be notified via email of the cancellation and refund.
